This year our 4th of July celebration started on the 3rd with Fireworks downtown Des Moines, which resulted in tired kids and too much traffic!!!
The 4th was a fun filled day with a BBQ at the Summers and then off to the Waukee Parade. I took the kids home to nap and then went back to hang with Megan and Sam, to watch the fireworks, while the Dad's worked at the club. Thanks Megan for having us over, you are the BEST!!!

Sounds like fun. I am sad we missed out on another summer's bbq...I bet it was a blast. Ella keeps asking to have date night...lol...I think she misses her friends...so do we!
