Michigan Beaches

There are quite a few beaches very close to us here in Michigan. The first one we went to has a "splash zone", that is on Lake St. Claire. And the other one we went to is on Stony Creek Lake, which is a run of from Lake Huron.
There isn't a lot of beach front, but the water is shallow, and warm!

While we were watching Brooklyn and Landon play in the sand, Claire was chasing some ducks that wanted to eat our food.

Of course Claire tried to eat the sand, but she loved splashing in the water.

Sunshine & Water + Kids Playing = One Happy Mom!

Brookie and Landon ask to go to the beach every day!

If we only could!!!

4th of July 2010

4th of July recap--- a little late sorry

Ten little toes all ready for some 4th of July fun!
We were invited to the Adams for a fun BBQ and fireworks. Our kids had a blast with all the other kids there and we were happy to be with fellow resident families. We hope we can have many more fun activities with these guys they are awesome.

Christian was actually on-call, but we got lucky and no calls, well no calls that is until 12:45am. He didn't get home until 3:45am! That was the first time since becoming a Resident that he actually felt like a Doctor. Yeah for us . . . very sarcastic!!!

I thought Claire was going to be so scared of the fireworks but she loved them the most out of everyone!!!

Here is Landon covering his ears while Claire is loving the fireworks! She thought it was hilarious!Happy 4th of July

Claire-a-Boo at 9 months

Claire-a-Boo is 9 months old!

*Claire is such a happy little thing. She is always on the GO trying to keep up with or get away from her siblings.
*She has been crawling for a while and she is really fast! She has started to stand up on her own and is getting steadier every day... I actually would rather her walk than crawl. Crawling gets too dirty and she finds everything to put in her mouth.
*Claire has decided that she doesn't want to eat baby food anymore and that she will only eat what we are eating, the only bad part is she has only 2 teeth, so her gums are working over time to mash up the food she wants to eat. Luckily she will still take a bottle.
*Our little mover puts everything in her mouth and when we go to the beach it is a full time job to watch her and make sure she doesn't eat the sand. You would think after the first nasty mouthful of sand she would stop, but NO, she goes back for more.

*Claire loves the water so bath time or beach time she is in heaven.

I think the only time Claire is sitting still is when she is watching Baby Einstein or sleeping. Other than that she is moving 24/7. I think she is my most active child, always wanting to see everything and get into everything.

Claire has her check up the first of August, so I will re-post her stats, after her appointment. I think she is going to be right on track with Brooklyn (tall). Hopefully she doesn't pass up her brother, poor Landon.

Our pretty little princess.

Slip 'n Slide

When the heat index is 100 degrees, you get WET!
We got out the "slip'n slide" and had some fun.

And of course I had to get in on he action. I am definitely not ready to grow up yet.
I have to say I am the slip 'n slide queen, when I was a kid I would slip'n slide all summer long.

I love it.

This is what Landon gave me when I asked him to smile...love ya dude.

Karate Kid

Landon took a 2 week trial karate class. And it was just what this little fighter needed.

First a little warming up and stretching.

Then Landon's speciality, Push-Ups

Next, some front kicks.
Landon likes doing these to anyone or anything.

The little guy in the back getting his hands up ready for some punching.

Ready stance... yes sir

On Landon's last day his teacher let him hit the punching bag for at least 15 min. He was in heaven. I think I need to blow up the punching bag he got for his birthday.

Punching Bob!

Even though it was a fun two weeks, I think we will wait a couple of years to try Karate again.
