Landon's 2nd Birthday

It seems like yesterday that we brought home this handsome little man. The joy that he has brought to our home has been overwhelming!!! He is full of life and laughter.

Landon Christian Tolboe
1 year old

2 years old

This picture just shows 1/2 of the personality that this little boy has. Landon still loves dogs, tractors, trains and CARS!!! Even though he is still a little guy he is full of energy that keeps us going. He loves everyone and is so attentive to others feelings, when you say "ouch" he will ask, "are you OK?" Such a cute boy.

He loves donuts (just like his Mom) and so for his Birthday breakfast he got a plate full of yummy donuts! He was so excited.

After a good healthy breakfast, for lunch we headed to Red Robin. All Landon wanted was a balloon, but he got more than he asked for when they came to sing Happy Birthday to him. He looked at us like he was going to cry, but with our reassuring smiles he kept it together, until he hid his face in embarrassment.

The best part of the night was cake and presents. A Lightning McQueen cake is all a 2 year old boy could ask for, but wait... you can't forget the cars!!!Just checking out the merchandise...

17 Weeks and feeling good!

I am 17 weeks along and I have finally started to feel better! It seems like with this pregnancy the nausea stayed a little too long. I am still a little sick if I don't get enough rest or don't eat regularly but things are looking up. I have more energy, not a lot but more than I did the first trimester. I can actually keep up with the kids and the stuff around the house. I love having kids and being a Mom, but I am not the happiest pregnant woman.

I have started feeling the baby move for about 3 weeks now and that is something you never get sick of! I love that feeling and can't wait for Brooklyn and Landon to feel it too. Landon knows that there is a baby in my tummy and after we ask him where Mommy's baby is and he points to my belly, he then lifts up his shirt to tell us where his baby is. I love that little boy. He has been going to my Doctor appointments to hear the heartbeat and get measured. He usually sits in the chair really quiet and then when the Doctor lifts my shirt to listen to the heartbeat he kinda gets uneasy and has a worried look on his face, like "what are you doing to my Mom?" He then jumps off the chair and runs to my side. What a protective little boy I have.

My next Doctor appointment I will be 19 weeks and then they should schedule my ultrasound after that. I hope they can do it before we leave for California, or I will have to wait until I get there and see if Randy can fit me in before Christian leaves... :(

Our house is slowly starting to look bare and also filled with boxes everywhere. I feel like I am living in constant clutter and disarray, but it will soon be all boxed up and on its way to California. We only have a month until we move and we are all getting a little more sad each day that passes. We will all miss the friends we have made out here in Iowa. The memories that we have shared are priceless. Love to you all

Easter 2009

Easter started off with some egg dying, which came along with a lot of broken and eaten eggs thanks to Landon. But our eggs came out beautifully and perfect for the Easter Bunny.

Easter is a wonderful time of year to celebrate life and give thanks for all that makes our lives happy and worth living for. Even though it is fun to hunt for eggs and see what a big bunny has left for us, we need to remember the real reason for this sacred holiday. This year and many before our family has remembered the story of our Savior's sacrifice by doing a little hands on object lesson, The Easter Story in Eggs. The kids really get involved and can understand the meaning of the Atonement. I know a lot of other families who enjoy this activity as well.

Happy Easter

A little message and video from Jeffery R. Holland, an Apostle of our Church. I cry every time I watch this, but it helps me put things into perspective and feel humbled.

Dad's Day

Dad's Day is something Brooklyn looks forward to every year! The last two years Christian has taken Brooklyn out to breakfast before their special day and they love that time together! I hope they can continue this same type of tradition for a long time.

Unfortunately Christian forgot the camera so a big thanks goes out to Jennifer and the pictures she sent me, thanks Jenn.

Here is the crew that has been together for three years of preschool!
(From left to right) Ella and Bret Grover, Hallie and Aaron Allred, Javien and Joseph Janke, Brooklyn and Christian.

This is their first year at 2 years old.
