2 months old

Claire had her 2 month old check up and she is growing perfectly!

She weighs 10 lbs 6 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long.

Claire smiles at anyone that talks to her and she is starting to coo and talk back. Brooklyn and Landon love to lay by her when she is playing in the floor and just watch her! She is such a joy to our family.

Out of the mouths of babes...

When asked how Claire is eating Brooklyn replied with this answer: "She eats two bottles a day and the rest of the time she eats my Mom."

Claire's Blessing Day

From left to right: Zach Simmons, Rand Tolboe, Christian, Stuart Burnham, Sean Burnham, Jim Barns. Others who assisted in the blesssing that aren't present are, Spencer Whatcott and Larry Stephens.
(my brother Sean was the one holding the mic so Buddy made him pose with the Wii mic for the picture )
Christian gave a beautiful blessing on Sunday for our sweet baby Claire. It was wonderful to have him home for Thanksgiving and can't wait to see him in three weeks for Christmas!!!

Santa

(don't you love those awkward age smiles?)

After our family pictures we went to see Santa and tell him what we wanted for Christmas.
Brooklyn wants anything princess, Landon asked for some cars, trains, trucks and anything that goes. And I think Claire said something about wanting her Daddy to snuggle her.
I think the big man might be able to deliver this year!

Giving Thanks

This year especially I have so much to be thankful for. Every time I get a minute I cannot help but think about all the wonderful things I have to be thankful for. Three beautiful healthy children that bring so much joy to my life, there is no greater calling than being a Mother. A hard working dedicated husband that is finishing his education so that he can provide for our family. I am also thankful for the love and support from our family helping me through this time in our life.

I give much thanks for the gospel of Jesus Christ that fills my heart with hope and joy. I know that we can be a family forever and that this time away from my husband is just a blink compared to the eternities that we will spend together.

A little boyfriend

Allison, a good friend of mine from junior high and high school came by with her husband and little boy that is only 3 weeks older than Claire. Her little boy Samuel is so adorable and so we were letting our kids get acquainted. He was totally enthralled with Claire. It was great to see their little family.

Thanks for the great visit Allison!

Claire's Blessing

Claire Helen Tolboe will be blessed by her father on Sunday November 29th, 2009 at 9am.

A smile for her brother

Claire has recently started to smile and coo at everyone! We love having this little angel in our home and the kids absolutely adore her. Landon calls Claire his little "Claire Bear" and he said that Claire's name is, "Claire Bear Tolboe." He was trying to make her laugh the other day and I snapped a few pics of them in action.

Even though I am getting NO sleep between night feedings, getting Brooklyn off to school and her other activities, and trying to keep up with Landon, all while having NO husband I am thankful for so many things. I feel truly blessed.

Heidelberg Project

When I went to visit Christian in Michigan we went to a place that a friend of ours saw when he was serving a mission here in Detroit. It is called the Heidelberg Project . It is the weirdest place I have ever seen. There are no words to describe what this outdoor art is you just have to see it for yourself. So here are some pictures that I took while we were there. And you can check out their website to learn more about it. http://www.heidelberg.org/index.html

Holy Water anyone?

My Trip to Michigan

Claire and I just took a little trip to Michigan to visit Christian and we had a wonderful time! Claire was great on her first plane ride. We got to spend a week in Michigan with Christian with much thanks to some wonderful Grandparents who took care of Brooklyn and Landon.
It was fun to see where Christian is living and working and what Michigan is like. The weather was great while I was there, I think I brought a little bit of sunny California with me. Most of our time was spent just relaxing and just spending time with each other.

You don't realize what you've missed until it is 2,500 miles away...

*I missed having someone to cuddle with

*I missed having Christian keep me warm when I get into bed and letting me put my cold feet on him to get them warm

*I missed having someone open the doors for me

*I missed having someone to shave my legs for!

*I missed being able to talk to someone older than 5, and being able to have an adult conversation.

*I missed being kissed!!! and having a handsome man to Kiss!!!

*I missed having someone to watch So You Think You Can Dance with, Christian wont admit it but he likes watching that show with me.

My list could go on, but I just can't wait until my honey is back here for good. We are so proud of you and love you so much.

Happy Halloween 2009

Here we have Little Bo Peep and Woody

Woody is wearing his Great Grandmothers boots and a vest that his mom sewed just two hours before Halloween.

Little Bo Peep is wearing her mother's dance costume, and looking so beautiful.

We really missed having Dad here because we always dress up together as a family and so Mom couldn't join in on the fun without Dad. But the kids sure did look adorable! Especially Bo Peep's little lamb.
After pictures we headed over to the church for some games and candy!

Here is Bo Peep trying her best at a doughnut eating contest.

And you never knew Woody was such a good bowler!

The kids got lots of candy and Mom was exhausted so it was a successful night!

Pre-Halloween Pictures

Halloween 2009
I love Landon's face in this picture.

And we can't forget our cute little pumpkin.

Jog-a-thon 2009

Brooklyn ran in her first school Jog-a-thon!!!
Brooklyn and her friend Trinity
Get ready... set... GO!!!

The memories of my own Jog-a-thon came back when I was out there helping count the little runners for Brooklyn's kindergarten class.
Her determined face the first couple of laps around.

Getting a little tired...
She was pretty serious about winning this thing and was the first one around every time, until she got to about her 12 lap and then she was about tuckered out. She was getting lots of drinks and even took Landon around.
Brooklyn had a blast and was awesome!!!

Fall is here!!!

Fall is here in California and we are loving the weather!!! It is a bit chilly in the morning and then it warms up to about 70-75 in the afternoon, perfect weather. (sorry to those of you in colder places)

We carved our pumpkins the other night with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Sara, my brother and sister. Brooklyn had a blast gutting the pumpkins, but Landon would have nothing to do with it. He wouldn't even touch the insides of the pumpkin, he said it was too yucky... what a sissy boy. We will get him to do it next year when Christian is with us.
Landon looks mad in this picture because we were making him touch the pumpkin "guts."

Then today we played in the leaves
Brooklyn and Landon threw the leaves and pretended it was snowing...
And then decided to throw them at Mom and Claire...
And Claire slept right through the whole thing, sweet baby girl!
