Brooklyn's Preschool Graduation

YEAH for Brooklyn!!!

Brooklyn graduated from preschool May 18th 2009
She has grown up so much during our time out here in Iowa. We are so proud of her and what a smart girl she is. The teachers she has had in preschool have been truly amazing. Giving her all their love and support. We have really enjoyed the preschool program here and will miss this opportunity when we leave.

Birthday Girl!!!

Happy Birthday to a sweet and wonderful girl!!! I can't believe my baby is 5 years old. It seems like yesterday that we were bringing home a new baby girl, and so excited to be parents. Brooklyn is the most loving and heart felt girl. Her tender heart touches to many and makes me proud to be her Mother.
We celebrated Brooklyn's birthday a little early with her first sleep over!!! The night started with some bowling with some of her best friends she has made here in Iowa. (minus one, we miss you Ella)

All the kids were great and they had a blast. They all kept saying that this was the best birthday party ever and the best night of their life... they were a little over excited. All the kids cheered for each other as they had their turn to bowl, and Javien said that the girls were dancing for him so that he would get a good score, such a ladies man!

After bowling and pizza we headed home for some cake and ice cream. The kids were eager to get their sleep over party started and so they were in their PJ's and teeth brushed so fast. Christian made a fort/tent for the kids to watch their movie and have popcorn. Or to giggle, tease and play until we finally got them to sleep. Surprisingly enough everyone slept great and no tears were shed the whole time! Waking up with smiles and laughter, they scarfed down some yummy doughnuts. What a better way to end an awesome Birthday extravaganza!!!

Brooklyn will miss all her friends and we hope to keep in touch with you all.
Much love from Brooklyn

It's a Girl!!!

Our suspicions were right... we are having a girl!

Of course our little girl was being stubborn so the tech couldn't get a lot of profile or face shots, but we are just happy that everything was in the right place and she looks healthy.

Brooklyn was so attentive during the ultrasound, asking questions and making sure everything was OK. Her favorite part was seeing the baby's little feet and her heart beating so fast.

I just wish we could know what Landon was thinking...

I won't know until tomorrow after the Doctor reads the ultrasound if I am measuring the same and if my due date is the same. We are actually hoping that I am not measuring any earlier because of Christian's rotations.

Time to get out the PINK!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers in my life!
I love you so much and words cannot express the many ways you have touched my life! You all continue to bless me and my family by being wonderful Grandmas. What more could a kid want than to have three Grandmas.

We miss you all and can't wait to see you soon
XOXO

As a mother myself I count my blessings each day, with the joys of two beautiful children and another on the way. Being a mother is something that cannot compare to anything or anyone and I am grateful for all the memories and love that comes with this most important job. I just hope that I can do a good job with the special spirits that the Lord has entrusted me.

Nuthin' but boxes

What do you do when your house looks like this?

And your kids look like this?

And it would be to scary to post what the Mom looks like!

Things have been a bit crazy around here and we are all trying to survive. Nothing exciting to blog about (for now) The next few weeks will be filled with too much to do and SO little time so I hope I will be able to stay on top of the updates. If not you will have to check back after we have moved...

Let's see what we have to get done before May 23rd

  • We have a going away picnic on Friday...
  • Then next week we have Brooklyn's last week at school and her picnic in the park...
  • Also next weekend we are going to celebrate Brooklyn's 5th Birthday...
  • After that we have to be all packed because the week of the 18th is going to be crazy!!!
  • Monday the 18th I have my ultrasound (YEAH!!!) and Brooklyn's dance rehearsal. Oh yeah and can't forget Brooklyn's Preschool Graduation that night.
  • Tuesday is Brooklyn's actual Birthday, I can't believe my baby is 5!
  • Wednesday is final packing day...oh crap!!!
  • Thursday and Friday I will be back up in Ames for more dress rehearsal...YUCK
Saturday is our last day in Iowa, plus the Dance Recital, plus the truck will be here to load!!! WOW

Plus did I mention that every day Christian has Clinic until 5pm and won't be home until 5:30 or 6pm!!! So most of this list is just MY LIST!

Up until this week I have been feeling really great and have had lots of energy, but with a little baby growing inside of me, and too much stress I have been feeling really exhausted! I can't wait until I am in California, sitting by the pool while Grandma and Grandpa watch the kiddos.
